Grow For Adults

Sunday Mornings

While worshiping with us on Sunday mornings, we invite you to also attend one of our Bible studies or communities to learn more about God’s Word and how that applies to your life.

The Crusades are one of the least understood periods in world history. General Eisenhower described D-Day and the European Campaign that followed as the “Crusade in Europe.” President George W. Bush used the term “Crusade against Evil” until he realized the negative connotation of the word Crusade with our Middle Eastern allies and changed it to “Global War on Terror.” Grace Lutheran – as well as dozens of other parochial schools – uses the mascot “Crusaders.” Even Billy Graham conducted crusades. But were the Crusades really a noble cause? This class will focus on the geopolitical and religious issues that led to and shaped the Crusades. This class will resume at the beginning of February.

Galatians 3:25-26 states, “But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian (the Law), for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.” While James 2:14 says, “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?” Both come from God’s word… but seem contradictory. How can this be? Let’s find out. This study will last through the month of January.

Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the School Cafeteria and via Zoom

For those who grew up in a foreign language-speaking household, this is the opportunity to study the Bible in English. Join us as we explore the meaning of Bible passages and take the time to understand the language used.

Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in School Room 113

A college-aged community group designed to get real on issues of life and faith as you’re managing classes, careers, relationships, and more. Join us as we search for answers to life’s big questions in God’s word.

Sundays at 9:30 am in School Room 107

Join us as we try to figure life out together. Whether single or married, we are all trying to make sense of this crazy world and how to make our way through it according to God’s Word. In addition to meeting on Sunday mornings, we get together regularly as a community for fellowship, participating in activities around Huntsville.

Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in School Room 203

With so much going on between work, family, and everyday activities, life feels like a balancing act, yet we know that the only way to make it through the daily chaos is to lean on God’s Word. Join us as we apply God’s Word to our lives and have open discussions about our walks in faith. We enjoy additional fellowship outside of church several times a year when we get together for both adults-only socials and fun activities with our families.

Sundays at 9:30 a.m. in the School Band Room and via Skype

Each week we take time to share our joys and concerns, pray for each other, and study Scripture. Rather than being a classroom-style study, our group is discussion-based as we learn and discover from the text and from each other. We are a multi-generational group made up of those who can see retirement in the not-too-distant future and those who already have it in their rear-view mirror. That said, we would love for people of any age to join us as we discover the truth of Scripture together!
