Grow For Adults

Sunday Mornings

While worshiping with us on Sunday mornings, we invite you to also attend one of our Bible studies or communities to learn more about God’s Word and how that applies to your life.

A discussion-based study on several chapters from “The Cost of Discipleship,” written by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In this work, he wrote, “Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate. Costly grace is the treasure hidden in the field; for the sake of it a man will gladly go and sell all that he has”.  Dietrich was writing in Germany in 1937, when the church was facing a time of great trial. In this context, following Jesus could mean the loss of everything. What are the trials that we, as followers of Jesus, face today? What does “The Cost of Discipleship” have to say to guide us?  Come join in the study and see! Led by Bill Baldwin.

Sundays at 9:30 AM in the School Cafeteria

The use of questions characterized all of Jesus’ teaching. From the beginning of His ministry to its end He was continually probing the minds and memories of His hearers. These questions were not academic, but personal. His aim was not to gain information for Himself, but to stimulate discussion with others, and to bring them into a relationship with Him. He used this method to make people think and to draw them into a saving relationship with Him. These questions show how He dealt with many life issues that still concern people today: the need for belonging, dealing with choices, fear, self-identity, and more. You are invited to join us as we explore these 12 Questions Jesus Asked, based on a book by Merrill C. Tenney. Tom Naatz will lead this study.

Sundays at 9:30 AM in the Assembly Room

For those who grew up in a foreign language-speaking household, this is the opportunity to study the Bible in English. Join us as we explore the meaning of Bible passages and take the time to understand the language used.

Sundays at 9:30 AM in Room 208

Each week, we take time to share our joys and concerns, pray for each other, and study scripture. Rather than being a classroom-style study, our group is discussion based, learning and discovering from the text and from each other. We’re a multi-generational group made up of people who can see retirement age in the not too distant future and those who have it in their rear-view mirror. That said, we’re absolutely open to people of any age who want to discover the truth of scripture together!

Sundays at 9:30 AM in School Room 209

There is a point in our lives when we seem to be pulled in every direction. Our professional lives are reaching a fever pitch. Our children have school, activities, and sports. Our parents may need us more than they ever have before. It’s like tug-of-war on steroids. Instead of pushing God down the “To Do” list, we gather to place Christ at the center of our lives, holding everything together.

Sundays at 9:30 AM in School Room 204

With so much going on between work, family, and everyday  activities, life feels like a balancing act, yet we know that the only way to make it through the daily chaos is to lean on God’s Word. Join us as we apply God’s Word to our lives and have open discussions about our walks in faith. We enjoy additional fellowship outside of church several times a year when we get together for both adults-only socials and fun activities with our families.

Sundays at 9:30 AM in School Music Room

A college-aged community group designed to get real on issues of life and faith as you’re managing classes, careers, relationships, and more. Join us as we search for answers to life’s big questions in God’s word.
