On June 3rd the Huntsville Police Department will give a presentation about their First Responder Drone program (FRD). The FRD and its associated equipment is a relatively new tool to support public safety. Frequently, the drone will arrive over a crime scene within a few minutes of a 911 call and before a responding officer arrives. The presentation will be held in the Genesis Room beginning at 10:00 AM and last about one hour. Lunch will follow at Outback Steakhouse on Whitesburg Drive. Steve Rice is the coordinator for this event.
