Join us as we begin a new season of Bible Studies and classes as the new year begins. In addition to the large group studies listed below, many of our small groups and communities will also begin new studies.
Galatians
Paul’s letter to the Galatians speaks to a church learning how to be God’s family. The salvation Jesus wins on the cross for the life of the world is completely transformative, and the ramifications of this new identity go far and wide. Through this letter, Paul teaches the Galatians, the church, and us about life in the family of God through our new identity in Christ. In this study, we will explore the themes of Galatians and how they apply to our lives of faith today. Pastor Andrew will lead the study in the Assembly Room on Sunday mornings beginning on January 4th.
Myth or Faith? Clearing up Common Misconceptions about Christianity
In this study, we will take a closer look at some hot topics that often lead to confusion and disagreement in the church. Together, we will see how God brings clarity and certainty to His people through His Word, the Bible. We will address misconceptions about belief, the church, the sacraments, worship and prayer and about the world. Please bring your Bible to the class. Even though this study will look at some challenging topics, we are not left alone. We are so very blessed to have the gift of the Holy Scriptures to lead, guide, and direct us. As the psalmist says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). Dick Bradshaw will lead the study in the School Cafeteria on Sunday mornings beginning on January 4th.
