SUMMARY:Saints Alive Trip to the Agricultural Research Station
DESCRIPTION:The Saints Alive will tour the Agricultural Research Station near Hazel Green. The Research Station\, operated by Alabama A&M University\, is a 972-acre\, working research farm dedicated to providing the facilities and outdoor laboratories needed to conduct agricultural and environmental research. The Station also provides hands-on educational opportunities for students of all ages and the public through its ongoing outreach events. We will receive a briefing by a senior researcher and then ride our bus on a tour of their fields. \nBecause we will need to be on the Grace bus for the tour of the center\, we will all need to ride on the bus during the tour. If you live north of Huntsville and want to meet us at the center\, you will need to get on the bus there so please just indicate that on your sign-up. \nThe bus will depart Grace at 9:30 AM. Lunch will follow at Posey’s restaurant near the Research Station. We will have a choice of a buffet line or ordering from their menu. We expect to be back at Grace about 1:30 PM.  Steve Rice is the coordinator for this trip. \nSee the sign-up on the easel in the narthex. \n

SUMMARY:Women's Retreat
DESCRIPTION:What does it look like to be gentle\, yet remaining strong\, in a culture that seems to be consumed with harshness? Jen Roettjer will lead the women in a Bible study looking at the lives of four women in the Bible who had the choice to act withgentleness in a difficult situation. Spread throughout the day\, we will also take time to enjoy several relaxation activities. Join us on Saturday\, September 7th at The Vision on Bailey Cove.   \nCheck-in begins at 8:30 AM with a light breakfast bar. The retreat will run from 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM. Cost is $20 and includes lunch. Chair massages will be available for an additional $10\, must be signed up for in advance\, and are on a first come\, first served basis. SUMMARY:New Season of Bell Choir Begins
DESCRIPTION:The Grace Lutheran Bell Choir will resume rehearsals on Thursday\, September 12th. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are held every Thursday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The choir tries to play for worship once a month at the 8:00 AM Sunday Service. No musical experience or expertise necessary. The goal is to enhance worship and play the bells to the glory of God. DESCRIPTION:The Saints Alive will tour the Black Patch Distilling Company in Madison. The outing will start with lunch at El Molcajete Restaurant in Madison at 11:00 AM. The bus will leave Grace Lutheran at 10:30 AM. After the tour there will be a tour of the distillery. There will be an option for tastings on the tour. This event is the main fundraiser for the PTL\, funding projects like playground maintenance\, science consumables\, teacher appreciation\, special assemblies\, Harvest Fest\, and more. There are many ways for church members to help support this event: volunteering before or at the event\, business sponsorship\, and sponsoring donations for individual students\, such as our scholarship recipients.
