Faith and Family Sunday
Faith and Family Sunday is a time to bring students from our school and their families into our worship service. The children provide special music for our worship hour, and then we host a special fellowship time with snacks, bible study, and crafts geared toward the whole family. Many thanks to our LOG circles for providing snacks for the fellowship portion of Faith and Family this past year.
When we reconvene starting in October, we would like to have two volunteers for each Sunday from our congregation to provide setup, light refreshments, and stay to visit with the families. This may be an excellent project for one of our small groups! Please contact Debbie Satterfield or Pam Lowe to sign up, or please sign up at SignUpGenius. If anyone feels so led, we would welcome help with developing and implementing new craft ideas for these eight Sundays.
Displayed below is the schedule for the coming school year. On the scheduled Sunday, the age group listed will meet with their families in the choir room in lieu of attending their regular Sunday-school class. We will have age-appropriate object lessons and crafts for the entire family.
We need volunteers on the following days:
- September 23 - Kindergarten
- October 21 - First Grade
- November 11 - Second Grade (Veteran’s Day weekend)
- December 9 - Fifth Grade
- January 27 - Third and Fourth Grade
- March 3 - Child Development Center (2nd service)
- April 7 - Sixth Grade Band
- April 28 - Seventh Grade–High School (2nd service)
