ACTIVITIES on weekends, (as scheduled)
We have activities such as hiking, cook-outs, pool parties, hayrides, a road trip to a Christian concert, servant events, or just going out for pizza! We also raise funds for Christian growth retreats and trips, mission trips. Some examples: serving the Christmas dinner, cooking and serving the Easter Breakfast, Super Bowl Submarine Sandwiches, etc.
SENIOR YOUTH CHRISTIAN GROWTH RETREATS AND TRIPS, MISSION TRIPS
These unforgettable experiences truly help us to grow in our bond with the Lord and each other. Some of the most powerful experiences we have had, have occurred on our retreats and trips. Some past trips:
- WHITEWATER RAFTING ON THE OCOEE RIVER One of the most exciting things you will ever do as a teen: tent camping in the mountains, swimming in a mountain river, Bible study and campfire devotions, personal and group prayer, cooking outdoor meals, and an incredible two and a half hours on the Ocoee!
- LABOR DAY WEEKEND CANOE TRIP is our beginning of the school year retreat at the Buffalo River Camp for: canoeing, awesome Bible teaching, recreational free time, campfire singing and devotions, cooking-out, and an outdoor Church service.
- NATIONAL LUTHERAN YOUTH GATHERING Every three years this is a fantastic experience of gathering with tens of thousands of Lutheran Youth from all over the country and the world; huge worship events with drama, music, and testimony; teaching seminars led by Youth Ministry experts, servant projects, spiritual hands-on exhibits, recreation, Bible study and prayer, and sightseeing fun.
- BELIZE MISSION TRIP: CONSTRUCTION AND PUPPETRY VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL One of our most powerful experiences; a challenge for us to truly put our faith into practice and do the mission of spreading the Gospel: staying at a Belizian Church and sharing the Lord with Belizian Christians, learning and doing puppetry in public parks as a witness, learning how to do construction and building churches.
- ANNUAL WINTER SKI WEEKEND Staying at a cabin on the side of the slopes, 2 days of great skiing, lessons for beginning skiers, relaxing evenings around a crackling fireplace at the cabin, hot meals, Bible study and prayer, a blast!
Participants in a Grace Retreat or Mission trip are bound by our Youth Group Covenant.
