Bible Classes (Youth)

Sunday School
(Various Locations)
For children from 3 years old through 8th grade. We're delighted that our emphasis doesn't end with a Bible lesson, but also shares how each lesson applies to our own individual lives. Music, mission work and stewardship are other important emphases for our children. As a part of our music ministry, all children are given the opportunity to participate in an annual Christian Worship Service.
High School Class
by Matt & Billie Hurst
(FLC Youth Center)
Program of study based on a biblical approach to what it means to praise God with our lives.

Bible Classes (Adult)

Since its very beginning Grace Lutheran Church has been a leader in Adult Bible Classes - an excellent way to fellowship in the Word.  Bible classes are taught by members or staff and generally run about 3 months long.

Current Schedule
(Spring 2010)

Exploring Grace
(5th grade classroom)
If you're looking for a new church home, would like to discover the distinctive philosophy that makes Grace Lutheran church an exciting and alive community of believers, or just want to "refresh" your knowledge about the Christian faith, then this is the class for you!  This is an 8-week course that concludes with a special two and a half hour Saturday morning worship!  Please contact the church office or Pastor Blair for more information.
Boundaries

Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle.  A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible.  In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not.  Boundaries impact all areas of our lives: physical boundaries help us determine who may touch us, mental boundaries give us the freedom to have our own thoughts, emotional boundaries help us to deal with our own emotions and spiritual boundaries help us to distinguish God's will from our own.
Study on Martin Luther
by Bob Wank
(7th grade classroom)
An in depth (but enjoyable) study of Luther's beliefs, times, and contribution taught by Luther scholar Bob Wank, awarded an honorary doctorate in Luther from Grace Lutheran School.  Topics include: history 300 A.D. - 1500 A.D., Luther's childhood, University of Erfurt & Monastery life, Pilgrimage to Rome, Tower Experience & Posting of 95 Theses, Marriage & Family and much more.
Matthew
by Pastor Clark
(Annex Assembly Room)
The Book of Matthew: Discovering Discipleship 101 is Jesus' call to Matthew with the words, "Come, follow me!" It was met with faith and obedience as he instantly dropped his nets and left his family to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. For many people today in the church, that seems like such an easy response. Yet, as you will discover in this informal verse-by-verse study of the Book of Matthew. This class is a continuation of the verse-by-verse walk through the New Testament Book of Matthew that has been going on for several sessions.
Ecclesiastes
by Ellen Brusick
(6th grade classroom)
This Old Testament book is the product of an older man reflecting on life.  The beautiful words and sentiments in this book run the gamut from "Meaningless, meaningless, Utterly meaningless" to "He has made everything beautiful in its time and set eternity in the hearts of men."  Bring your Bibles - it's the only text we'll use as we share this ancient - and timely - wonderful book, letting God's Word illumine our lives.
College and Career
by Joy Brindley and
Heather Roberts
(Panera Bread on Airport)
Purpose Driven Worship. Worship is our first responsibility to God. It is not just praising, singing, and praying to God. Worshiping God is enjoying Him. Bring your Bibles!

(Panera Bread is located next to the Fresh Market at the corner of Airport Road and Whitesburg Drive.)
