Discovering Grace Class
This class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:35 - 10:35. It is currently being taught by Susan Sadler and Pastor Arndt and meets in the 7th grade classroom of the Grace annex.
Who Should Attend:
- anyone curious about what Lutherans believe
- anyone wanting to know more about Grace Lutheran Church
- anyone who might be interested in officially joining Grace Lutheran Church
- anyone wanting to meet other people who are fairly new to our Grace family
- anyone who has recently joined Grace Lutheran Church
- anyone interested in learning more about the Grace of God, freely given through Jesus
- anyone with children enrolled in our school
What happens in the class?
We get to know each other. We share coffee, tea, and a light snack. We have short Bible studies to highlight the grace of God and what His grace means.
We share what Lutherans believe. We learn about the mission and ministries of Grace Lutheran Church. We get to know the ministers and leaders of Grace Lutheran Church and school. We offer the opportunity to become part of the mission and ministries of our church if one so desires.
How long does the class last?
The class meets during the Sunday school and bible class time on Sunday mornings. We meet in our day school's fifth grade classroom, located in the annex. The class is divided into two six week sections. The second six weeks is an optional, more in depth study. Call Dexter & Joyce McClure (883-9987) for the date of the next class. We would love to have you come get acquainted and answer any questions you might have.

- Fellowship and introduction to opportunities for service and ministry involvement
- Opportunity for questions and answers about membership or transfers of membership from other churches

- Fellowship and presentation on the background of the Lutheran Church and its relevance today.

- Fellowship and sharing of the biblical background of the Lutheran practice of baptism, (symbol or sacrament?).

- Fellowship and sharing of the biblical background of the Lutheran practice of communion (symbol or sacrament?).

- Fellowship and discussion of what is fundamental in worship and of what forms of worship we use at Grace Lutheran
